Job Description

The Department of History at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a parttime instructor to teach one section of HIST 327: Pirates of the Caribbean (three credit). The term of the appointment is from September 1 2025 to December 30 2025. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Course Number and Title: HIST 327

Course Description: Pirates of the Caribbean

Start and End Dates: September 1 2025 December 30 2025

Class Schedule: TBD

Delivery Mode: inperson

Duties:

PartTime Academic Instructor positions involve the normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course including but not limited to preparation and delivery of course content; development administration and marking of assignments tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; and holding regular office hours.

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • PhD in History
  • Prior university undergrad teaching experience
