Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a EO/IR Software and Data Engineer to fill an immediate opening. The ideal candidate will have experience/expertise with electrooptical and infrared data analysis (EO/IR) image processing and uncertainty Design Engineerwill be responsible for the analysis interpretation and algorithm development to support data reduction from customer test events. A wellsuited candidate will be selfmotivated with demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) and capable of working both in a small team and unsupervised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze EO/IR sensor data including target detection tracking filtering and signature analysis.
- Perform sensor data fusion and uncertainty analysis.
- Support multispectral sensor calibration and characterization.
- Analyze algorithms and their interaction to improve performance.
- Interpret data identifying trends and analyze results using statistical techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science Electrical Engineering Physics or similar).
- 5 years of experience in EO/IR data analysis image processing and statistical analysis including proficiency with data processing tools such as MATLAB Python R Java or similar.
- Strong analytical computational and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance is required.
