Job Description
Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring for a Full Time Night Shift Packaging Machine Operator. This position works closely with other coowners of the team to operate the packaging line working to get our Tasty Beer into kegs cans and bottles. Duties include but are not limited to operating various pieces of automated equipment on the packaging line; quality control and checking for accuracy on things such as bottled on dates expiration dates and batch numbers; changing bottle labels and various other tasks in a production environment. Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not required!
This is a full time night shift position and the typical schedule will be 4 10 hour shifts per week during weekdays. This position is eligible for our night shift differential of $3/hour for all time worked between 6pm and 6am. Base wages when joining this team start at $17.83/hour for someone without experience and increase from there based on the previous applicable experience you bring to the role. This position offers a career path up to $27.77/hour for our employees who successfully complete our training program and hold several years of experience in this department. Additional opportunities for wage increases are also associated with crosstraining specialty licenses/certifications and promotional opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Eagerness and ability to learn our specialty brewery equipment and machinery
- Focused attention on training for safety and standard operating procedures
- Experience in a teambased environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Previous manufacturing or production or forklift experience is preferred
