Job Description
George Fox Universitys Physical Therapy Department is seeking a full or parttime temporary physical therapist for a 12week period starting in the summer of 2025.
About the Job:
The candidate will embrace care for all individuals. Patients attending the GFU Physical Therapy Community Clinic are diverse requiring a generalist who is able to address the physical therapy needs of a variety of patient groups.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assessing and treating patients consistent with laws and regulations as defined by the Oregon State Board of Physical Therapy.
- Assessing and treating patients consistent with evidencebased practice patterns in the United States.
- Meeting a patients goals and needs and providing quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans.
- Managing patient documentation in the electronic medical record per standards of physical therapy care.
- Collaborating with faculty and staff and students to provide innovative and evidencebased care.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others including employees students and the public in a spirit of teamwork respect and customer service.
- By actions words and lifestyle be a Christian role model to students whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrating awareness respect and appreciation for diversity of culture background race sex political views expressions of faith etc. and works well with a variety of people.
- Other duties as assigned.
Were looking for candidates who have:
- Earned DPT degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Oregon.
- Strong communication organization interpersonal problemsolving and counseling skills.
- State of the art generalist training and experience (minimum 2 years) in physical therapy
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
Preference Will be Given to Those Who Have the Following Attributes:
- Shows a strong interest in evidencebased practice and developing as an academic faculty
