Dean of Culture

Roman Catholic High School

Position Overview

Roman Catholic High School is currently seeking an energetic and highly disciplined individual to fill the Dean of School Culture position. Reporting to the Assistant Principal of Student Services this position will oversee the implementation of a schoolwide behavior management program from conception to with the goal of building and leading an environment that is safe supportive and structured for our student population.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties:

  • Under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Student Services (APSS) implement a school wide behavior management program with both meaningful consequences and positive reinforcement.
  • Address student discipline matters which include the following: behavior; attendance & lateness; truancy; student removal from classroom; enforcing Roman Catholic High School (RCHS) regulations; regular meetings with students on disciplinary probation.
  • In conjunction with the APSS implement RCHS dress code/grooming policies and their enforcement.
  • Administer appropriate consequences for student infractions including issuing demerits assigning detentions and overseeing restorative justice practices. Monitor and regulate student & visitor entry lunchroom study hall changeofclass transitions & dismissal as needed.
  • Develop implement and oversee the of fire & safety drills with the APSS.
  • Establish and maintain a vibrant school culture of engagement trust and support with students faculty and parents/families through ongoing proactive communication.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the APSS.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training and Experience/Skills) Required:

  • Strong verbal written customer service organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students parents/families administrators faculty and staff.
  • Possess initiative leadership enthusiasm and a sense of humor.
  • Poised and engaging with intellectual depth maturity judgement and professionalism to earn the confidence and trust of both colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Roman Catholic High School.

SALARY

This is a 10month fulltime position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.

PA required clearances and Safe Environment Certification and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin.
