Heres What You Need:
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
Equivalent Specialized training in mechanic trades or a related field preferred Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1 2003 will be grandfathered with existing education required.
3 Years experience in a commercial or industrial environment and licensed as electrician plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification required.
7 Years in commercial or industrial environment without licensed electrician plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification required.
1 Year experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Has knowledge with chilled water systems pneumatic tube station computerized maintenance system HVAC and general plumbing.
Knowledge with fire alarms life safety systems and inspections of fire alarm devices.
Knowledge of emergency generators and related equipment.
Drivers License
Electrician upon hire preferred
Plumber upon hire preferred
Other Healthcare maintenance certification upon hire preferred
Skills:
Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance; troubleshooting diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical and utility systems; mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams; ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams; excellent written verbal and listening skills; ability work nights weekends and/or holidays.
Heres What You Will Do:
Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital hospital equipment and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Performs the duties of skill trades such as plumbing electrical carpentry painting general maintenance mechanical HVAC and exterior maintenance as required.
Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment components utilities and the like.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs education opportunities and related training.
