The Fintech & Loyalty Fraud & Pay team at Wayfair pioneers cuttingedge fraud technology and missioncritical payment systems. The teams mission is to provide a reliable secure and scalable platform that enables Wayfair to offer the widest range of payment options to our customers through a worldclass frictionless experience. What You Will Do:

• Flex your strength and knowledge on Java DevOps and microservice development.
• Contribute to developing services that are built to industry best practices including observability architectural patterns and interteam dependency mechanisms (like SLOs)
• Write code to implement highquality scalable futureproof services that will have effective system boundaries
• Participate in team planning and delivery meetings in a way that actively supports the goals and success of the team
• Identify risks and gaps in your assigned work and surface them to team leads
• Work closely with product managers designers and peers to define project requirements and plans

What Youll Need:

• 3 years of experience in engineering with a preference for candidates with a mix of startup and largecompany experience. eComm domain expertise is a bonus
• Handson experience delivering software within highgrowth environments at scale
• Experienced in designing and building largescale cloudbased systems across various projects
• Experience operating distributed services at scale including familiarity with observability tools logging techniques troubleshooting and incident response.
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience driving solutions forward and ability to influence results
• Expertise with a modern programming language (such as Kotlin Python Java C# Scala GO or others). Java experience preferred.
• Experience with one or more common open source platforms tools and framework eg: Kafka Kubernetes Containerization Java microservices GraphQL APIs Aerospike etc
