Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Architect (Data & AI) to support a federal agencys enterprisewide data and artificial intelligence initiatives. This role will lead the design and implementation of scalable secure and AIready data architectures aligned with federal AI and data strategies executive mandates and OMB guidance. Hybrid work environment and must be available to work onsite as necessary.
The ideal candidate will be a handson technical leader with deep expertise in data platforms cloud architecture and AI enablement. This position will play a critical role in shaping a modern data ecosystem prototyping AI solutions and driving innovation in collaboration with engineering data science and mission teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modern data architecture solutions aligned with the agencys AI Strategy and Data Strategy.
- Design modern and scalable data infrastructure including data lakes data warehouses and data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with data quality security and governance standards.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate AI and data solutions into the agencys operations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture best practices.
- Design and solution modern architecture and solutions for current AI demand and technologies that stem from data and AI.
- Support initiatives such as Collibra AI Platform AI Ready Data Ecosystem etc. ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across the agencys data ecosystem.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other team members fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in data and AI practices.
- Identify and analyze emerging AI and data technologies to recommend adoption and integration strategies.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technology platforms tools and methodologies for AI and data projects.
Required Skills:
- 10 years of experience in data architecture data modeling and database design.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics Engineering Data Science Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive experience in modern and scalable data architecture data modeling and database design. Highly desirable if the expertise is in architecting design for AI agents and AI agentic workflow.
- Proficiency in tools and technologies such as Collibra Databricks Snowflake AWS Glue PyTorch ElasticSearch and graph databases such as AWS Neptune and Neo4J.
- Strong understanding of AIready data ecosystems and support for AI initiatives.
- Experience with cloud technologies particularly AWS.
- Technical proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science Mathematics Physics or another quantitative discipline.
