Job Description

General Description

Serve as Assistant Division Director providing overall direction and leadership for the ACCS division.

Essential Job Functions

Clinical Administrative Functions:

  • Serve as Assistant Division Director for ACCS division
  • Provide direct supervision to assigned Site Supervisors and at times Direct Care Staff members
  • Participate in Clinical oncall rotation as needed
  • Conduct trainings/education
  • Oversee risk management development and implementation
  • Assess transition of care readiness and develop transitions plans within the ACCS programs hospitals jails etc.
  • Complete screening assessments comprehensive assessments and treatment plans when indicated
  • Report any incidents regarding accidents injury or medication errors to the Quality Manager
  • Work closely with the Housing Authority and the Facilities Department at the Brien Center.
  • Ensure all sites are in compliance with DMH regulations and prepare for annual DMH inspections
  • Coordinate with DMH and Care Coordination Entities
  • Ensure staff and site leaders attend required trainings.
  • Attend all required but not limited to DMH/BHS/ACO collaboration meetings
  • Ensure MAP compliance at all sites this includes ensuing audits are completed
  • Teach implement and ensure that all staff are trained in Evidenced Based Practices
  • Hire and Train Residential and outreach Site Leaders

Program Administrative Functions:

  • Schedule and assign staff work
  • Oversee facilities operations
  • Oversee household expenses
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations
  • Oversees staffing changes
  • Coordinate scheduling through ACCS team and within community support
  • Assume county wide function i.e. training scheduling facilities management Human Rights licensing and/or substance abuse services
  • Participate in all relevant staff meetings and treatment team meetings
  • Participate in regularly scheduled supervision
  • Develop and maintain relationship with community resources which support consumer integration

General:

  • Serve on interagency committees
  • Represent agency at intraagency meetings
  • Maintain work environment reporting any hazards to Division Director
  • Communicate with the clients family and personal network
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Identify client community and program needs and recommend program development related to psychiatric service
  • Assess staff and support resources to effectively manage program and make budget recommendations
  • Recruit hire new staff and provide orientation training.
  • Monitor clerical staff schedules for division to ensure adequate coverage

Quality Improvement Functions:

  • Coordinate treatment reviews
  • Audit client charts
  • Complete annual evaluations and quarterly reviews for assigned staff
  • Monitor productivity utilization and caseloads of staff in division
  • Identify training needs
  • Conduct training for staff and community
  • Participate in serious incident reviews
  • Monitor QI Initiatives
  • Assist in resolution of client complaints

Qualifications:

  • Master/PhD. degree in social work psychology or counseling
  • Licensed LICSW LCSW LMHC or PhD
  • Minimum of five 5 years of supervisory and clinical experience in community mental health preferably crisis related work
  • Demonstrate management skills i.e. program development human resource management and basic fiscal operations
  • Ability to effectively represent the agency in a variety of settings

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and presentation skills
  • Leadership talent and the ability to delegate effectively
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Knowledge of community resources

Other Requirements:

  • Meets all credentialing requirements
  • Flexibility to respond to program scheduling needs
  • Support and maintain the principles and policies of The Brien Center
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner in all community contacts
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Agencys mission and community mental health principles
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Successful completion of the Criminal Offense Record Inquiry (CORI)
  • Successful completion of the Drivers license background check (RMV)
