Since 1971 the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of highquality essential and communitybased services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with mental illness developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
As the Clinical Coordinator I in the Juvenile Justice Services program at HamptonNewport News Community Services Board you will play a pivotal role by providing clinical consultation to the Juvenile Court Services Unit. Your responsibilities will include screening assessment case management treatment planning crisis intervention and coordinating referrals ensuring that clients and their families receive the necessary behavioral health care. You will be instrumental in facilitating timely access to HNNCSBs comprehensive continuum of services ensuring that services are responsive to individual service plans.
Additionally you will provide information about HNNCSB services to the Juvenile Court Services Unit staff enabling them to deliver effective and least restrictive care. Your expertise will contribute to meeting clients identified needs compassionately and professionally reinforcing the organizations commitment to excellence and clientcentered service.
Specific skills and qualifications are essential to thrive as the Clinical Coordinator I. A Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling and at least one year of experience in a clinical setting focused on emotionally troubled children and their families are required. Proficiency in DSM5 diagnosing and demonstrated capabilities in case management functions are crucial. Candidates must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.
A valid Virginia drivers license is also required to facilitate travel to various client locations. These qualifications ensure you are wellequipped to deliver compassionate and practical support to those in need.
