South Platte Renew (SPR) is the 3rd largest water resource recovery facility (WRRF) in Colorado and cleans nearly 20 million gallons of wastewater a day. SPR is publicly owned by the Cities of Littleton and Englewood and serves approximately 300000 residents in Littleton Englewood and 19 other connecting communities. The Operations and Maintenance Division of SPR is recruiting a seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep SPR facilities looking great and running safely and reliably.
South Platte Renew is looking for a seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician who is interested in developing a skillset in landscaping and grounds support work. The responsibilities of the selected candidate will include the operation of landscaping & snow removal equipment such as: mowers trimmers edging machines snowblowers power tools and hand tools and will also provide support on light plumbing and maintenance work.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician I assists staff with all activities related to maintaining Plant grounds. This includes the operation of landscaping equipment power tools and hand tools. Performs entry level maintenance tasks to support the Facilities Maintenance Division.

Basic knowledge of:
Work is performed primarily in an outdoor setting at a wastewater treatment facility where noise irritants dust dirt bacteria hazardous chemicals/air/materials and fumes are present.
Works indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and over all types of terrain. May be exposed to risks typically associated with working around water chemicals electricity and other manmade and natural hazards.
Full range of body movements including stooping twisting kneeling bending leaning reaching climbing stretching and working in awkward positions. May stand for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs..
$17.47 $26.21/Hourly Rate
