Facilities Electrical Project Engineer Hampton VA
Emerge is recruiting a direct hire Facilities Electrical Project Engineer in Hampton VA for a leading manufacturer. In this role you will manage and support a variety of electrical and automation projects across a large complex manufacturing facility. Youll be part of a collaborative team working to enhance safety reliability and efficiency in all areas of the operation.
- Salary:90000 to $105.000 per year
- Bonus: 5 target bonus

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical and controls scopes for capital improvement obsolescence and process optimization projects
- Coordinate full lifecycle of assigned projects: scope development bidding equipment selection installation startup and closure
- Provide engineering support for production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment and process issues
- Lead PLC HMI and robotic programming efforts across all plant facilities and systems
- Maintain accurate records of all automation systems and changes
- Drive improvements to existing automation technology and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety policies including oversight of EHS procedures
- Supervise contractor activity and ensure adherence to electrical codes and standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in ELECTRICAL Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical systems including PLCs HMIs SCADA and power distribution
- Experience managing technical projects in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with hydraulic pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Programming experience with Allen Bradley/ControlLogix/Modicon PLCs
- Experience with Wonderware SQL databases and touchscreen HMI/SCADA systems
- Knowledge of NEC NFPA and other applicable electrical codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Inventor
