Job Description

Facilities Electrical Project Engineer Hampton VA

Emerge is recruiting a direct hire Facilities Electrical Project Engineer in Hampton VA for a leading manufacturer. In this role you will manage and support a variety of electrical and automation projects across a large complex manufacturing facility. Youll be part of a collaborative team working to enhance safety reliability and efficiency in all areas of the operation.

  • Salary:90000 to $105.000 per year
  • Bonus: 5 target bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage electrical and controls scopes for capital improvement obsolescence and process optimization projects
  • Coordinate full lifecycle of assigned projects: scope development bidding equipment selection installation startup and closure
  • Provide engineering support for production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment and process issues
  • Lead PLC HMI and robotic programming efforts across all plant facilities and systems
  • Maintain accurate records of all automation systems and changes
  • Drive improvements to existing automation technology and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety policies including oversight of EHS procedures
  • Supervise contractor activity and ensure adherence to electrical codes and standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in ELECTRICAL Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical systems including PLCs HMIs SCADA and power distribution
  • Experience managing technical projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with hydraulic pneumatic and electrical control systems
  • Programming experience with Allen Bradley/ControlLogix/Modicon PLCs
  • Experience with Wonderware SQL databases and touchscreen HMI/SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of NEC NFPA and other applicable electrical codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Inventor
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder) Political Asylee or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
