The Facilities Services & Planning (FS&P) division plays a key role in helping Stanford Health Care accomplish this mission. Transportation & Grounds supports a wide array of functions from parking and transportation services to the sustainable management of over 1.8 million square feet of outdoor space. The business unit oversees parking and traffic management transportation demand management shuttle operations hospital transportation operations center fleet management technology and data patient transport communications and outreach landscaping and hardscaping and exterior maintenance. Transportation & Grounds manages 30 parking garages/ lots 15000 parking spaces 5000 vehicles per day 1400 riders per day 125 parking interactions per day 50 tree and plant species and 1000 pieces of furniture.

The Manager Project Management reports to the Senior Director Facilities Services and oversees sustainable transportation operations across multiple Stanford Medicine entities. The Manager Project Management is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of: Transportation Demand Management programs such as transit passes commuter buses and carpool; fleet operations including vehicle maintenance management and safety; and patient and staff shuttle programs. This is an onsite at Stanford Health Care with a primary work location in Palo Alto. This position provides input to strategic decisions that affect Transportation & Grounds as a whole supporting the Senior Director in managing budgets longterm strategic planning and reports out to large groups and executive leadership on progress towards enterprisewide transportation goals. This person should be capable of quick learning and problem solving while managing operational projects that require coordination with neighboring departments. This candidate will oversee the development and implementation of quality indicators metrics and dashboards to measure outcomes of sustainable transportation operations.

A Brief Overview
The Manager Project Management is responsible for supervising staff to manage the programming planning design construction and activation of complex projects. Establishes and maintains tools processes to prioritize projects effectively assign staffing resources and ensure project managers are completing projects within budget and on time.

What you will do
- Manages project management team for a VParea/large department in the performance of required job functions.
- Implements/oversees system monitors and controls to drive the successful management and reporting of projects; ensures that projects are appropriately managed for ontime and onbudget delivery.
- Manages the selection and prioritization processes for projects to align with organizational strategic goals; assigns resources based on skill and capacity.
- Ensures timely and consistent communication to sponsors and stakeholders on project status scope changes and resource impacts for projects.
- Teaches Lean concepts including the SOS certification program.
- Ensures existing processes support high levels of performance while continuously reviewing and refining those processes to make additional improvements.
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Implements quality control measures to ensure project compliance with department hospital and university policies government codes and regulations.
- Determines and assesses need for staffing levels and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary.
- Guides project managers in assessment and documentation of project scope; to describe objectives requirements parameters and constraints of projects.
Education Qualifications
- Job requires a Bachelors degree in a workrelated discipline/field from an accredited college or university. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Relevant experience in lieu of degree is in addition to the experience requirements for this position.
Experience Qualifications
- Eight 8 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Six Sigma certification preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing persuading negotiating conflict resolution consulting and advising as well as flawless written communication.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $68.46 $90.70 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity experience education specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
