Job Description

Position Summary
The position entails serving as the program coordinator for the Aging Rainbow Coalition ARC initiative. The coordinator will work closely with key staff from the Knox County TN Office on Aging OOA on all services and activities including working in their facility as required by the supervisor. Responsibilities include creating and managing social media accounts for ARC if necessary and handling all email phone and website communications for the initiative. Additionally the coordinator will build a communication list of local agencies and individuals who serve or are LGBT older adults provide outreach and education to service providers in Knox and surrounding East Tennessee counties both virtually and in person and facilitate the planning and administration of trainings for service providers and other ARC events.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Lives in or around Knox County TN to complete inperson outreach as needed to support the ARC initiative

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Experience working as part of a communityengaged research team Experience working directly with LGBT older adults Experience working with LGBT serving organizations and organizations that serve these populations

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday including occasional nights and weekends (flexible)
