Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
- Will ensure projects meet approved plans specifications and building codes
- Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs and oversees incident investigations
- Reviews and updates construction schedules addresses delays and contributes to project schedules
- Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
- Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection procurement and negotiations
- Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
Qualifications:
- Eight or more years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
- Experience in aerial fiber construction is required
- Postsecondary education in Construction Engineering or a related discipline is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents drawings specifications and current construction practices
- Effective Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as subcontractors
- Problemsolving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions:
- This is a sitebased position
- Travel up to 40 of the time throughout the state of West Virginia
