Overview

The Master of Social Work will work to identify and intervene with atrisk populations to mitigate psychosocial barriers to optimal care workers provide services to children adolescents and adult patients/families/staff at Childrens Mercy and complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans in conjunction with internal and external team members. This position will work primarily with patients who have Hemophilia or other blood disorders and their families but may also work with patients who have an oncology diagnosis. Social Work interventions are provided in both the inpatient and ambulatory clinic settings with significant care coordination to both pediatric and adult patients.

Shift: Monday Friday 8am to 4:30pm

New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found nonimmune to measles mumps rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus diphtheria acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
