Job Description
Overview
Woolpert Africa is hiring an Architectural Designer to join our dynamic Buildings Team at our Johannesburg South Africa office. This position reports to the Regional Team Leader and is responsible for leading a team in the development and delivery of all project deliverables. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 6 years related experience. Priority will be given to candidates who are SACAP registered.
Responsibilities
As a Architect at Woolpert you will:
- Lead a team in the development and delivery of all project deliverables from concept through completion and will also see the project through construction and close out.
- Work in tandem with the firm leaders and Project Lead as well as an interdisciplinary team of partners to deliver high performing complex and challenging projects for some of the worlds largest technology clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Experience working on mediumsized projects such as retail multifamily residential or commercial developments.
- Masters degree in Architecture.
- Must possess strong design and problemsolving skills with experience in complex projects.
- Commitment to staying informed on the latest architectural technologies materials and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in the use of Autodesk Revit for project development; BIM proficiency is advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Teams etc. and Bluebeam.
- Strong digital modeling skills with welldeveloped organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal written and graphic communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- It is desired that the candidate should be SACAP registered.
