Job Description

Within Amazon Devices & Services we are reinventing the Alexa customer experience by creating the nextgeneration of AIbased technology. As part of that work we are also transforming our business model so we can continue to invent on behalf of our customers.

Foundational to that business model transformation is rethinking how we sell Echo devices to millions of customers each year worldwide. This team develops annual quarterly and monthly sales strategies. They also establish and execute competitive pricing and promotions on and at offline retailers (i.e. Best Buy Target). Finally they manage inventory to ensure clean product transitions from one generation to the next.

We are seeking a seasoned P&L GM to lead eight direct reports and the 25 person crossfunctional organization during this exciting transformational stage of our business. In this role you will manage a sizable portion of the Echo P&L which requires strong business acumen and high judgement. You will lead the team in delivering short and longterm results through thoughtful strategy and excellent . You will report on business health to the most senior leaders in Devices & Services through weekly and monthly mechanisms. The ideal candidate excels at customer obsession ownership invent & simplify and dive deep. Moreover the leader will be comfortable with constant change and persistent pressure to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities
Build threeyear worldwide business plan 3YP) as well as annual business strategy and goals (OP1 OP2
Guide worldwide team in accurately forecasting the business based on customer insights sales trends external landscape insights and internal business plans; update business plans as part of the quarterly guidance cycle
Lead worldwide crossfunctional team in delivering short and longterm results; crossfunctional team includes demand planning finance offline retail management marketing merchandising and product
Develop annual promotional strategy including the approach to HighVelocity Events (HVEs) such Prime Day Prime Best Deal Days and Black Friday/Cyber Monday; deliver flawless of HVEs
Identify ways to optimize traffic and conversion through improved marketing and merchandising; build new playbooks to maximize sales growth and efficiency
Prioritize work effectively in a fastchanging environment with lean resourcing
Develop team through regular coaching monthly career/growth discussions and quarterly Talent Reviews; continuously refine team culture and support team as they navigate constant change
Report on business health to the most senior leaders in Devices & Services; regularly develop or contribute to leadership documents

12 years of product or program management product marketing business development or technology experience
6 years of team management experience
Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Experience in general management role with P&L ownership or Financerelated role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
