Job Description
Position TITLE: Safety Supervisor Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Reports To: Operations Manager
LOCATION: Dow Chemical Freeport 2301 N. BRAZOSPORT BLVD

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the job site to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure all safety equipment is available properly maintained and used correctly by all personnel.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure the job site complies with OSHA local state and federal safety regulations.
- Develop implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for new hires and existing employees.
- Educate workers on proper safety practices emergency procedures and the use of safety equipment.
- Provide ongoing safety education to all site personnel.
- Respond immediately to safety incidents and accidents ensuring proper first aid and emergency procedures are followed.
- Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents near misses and injuries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sitespecific safety programs.
- Work with management to set safety goals and objectives.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with site managers contractors and employees to address safety concerns and improve safety standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for all safetyrelated issues on the job site.
- Communicate safety performance and issues to upper management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven background in leading and influencing individuals and groups of employees.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to travel up to 80 of the time to visit sites within areas of responsibility for meetings training and for audit purposes.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred but not required.
