What would you do as a Pool Housekeeper/Laundry Tech
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Tech at Fellowship Community in Whitehall youll play a vital role in creating a clean safe and respectful environment for our residents. Your exciting responsibilities will include sweeping mopping and sanitizing surfaces as well as expertly handling laundry duties such as washing drying and distributing clean linens. Youll ensure that facilities are wellmaintained while adhering to safety protocols promoting the dignity and privacy of all residents. From cleaning bathroom fixtures and windows to inspecting laundry and responding to housekeeping calls every task you perform will be essential in delivering excellence in service. Youll be empowered to monitor work areas for safety and to report concerns all while ensuring that each resident is treated with kindness and respect.

To thrive as a Housekeeper/Laundry Tech at Fellowship Community in Whitehall you will need a blend of essential skills and experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred along with a solid understanding of federal state and local regulations for skilled nursing facilities. Previous cleaning and laundry experience in environments like hospitals or skilled nursing facilities will set you apart.
Basic computer skills and the ability to read write comprehend and speak English are critical for effective communication. Physical capabilities such as lifting up to 60 lbs sweeping mopping and the ability to climb ladders are necessary to successfully perform your duties. Understanding geriatrics and dementia will ensure you approach your work with compassion and respect.
You must be teamworkoriented and servicefocused reflecting our RISE Core Values through highquality work performance. Preparation through successful completion of the orientation is also essential for your journey with us!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Basic knowledge of federal state and local skilled nursing regulations.
- Cleaning experience in a hospital skilled nursing facility or other related facility is preferred.
- High school or equivalent education
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to read write comprehend and speak English.
- Must be able to sweep dry and wet mop and climb a ladder.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.
- Must have an understanding of Geriatrics and Dementia.
- Successful completion of orientation.
- Team oriented and service focused
