Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director of Accounting Shared Services will provide leadership for the North America accounting shared services organization. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer the Director of Accounting Shared Services is a handson and forwardthinking change leader who will lead the North America Accounting Shared Services functions including Financial Reporting General Accounting Fixed Assets Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable while driving wellcontrolled scalable business ideal candidate has a collaborative professional and serviceoriented approach to interacting with teammates and business partners.

This fulltime onsite position is based at our Chicago Corporate office located near OHare International Airport. We offer a competitive salary a comprehensive benefits package and access to an onsite gym.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop lead and inspire the team. Fosters a collaborative and serviceoriented environment.

  • Manage autonomously the complete service delivery for accounting services across Business Units and legal entities within a defined region in accordance to Company guidelines.

  • Responsible for high quality and efficient delivery of all accounting shared services across Business Units and legal entities to enable the business to achieve its goals.

  • Plan and monitor the budget of accounting shared services.

  • Enforce the overall implementation of global accounting policies procedures & processes including enabling technologies.

  • Provide thought leadership for accounting shared services processes including bringing new ideas solutions and/or best practices to the design and operational teams.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of internal controls and preparation of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. Work closely with internal and external auditors.

  • Regularly engage with key internal stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to deliver on other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years progressive experience designing building and leading accounting teams with the ability to be handson yet still develop and deliver on strategic initiatives.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA qualification desired.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP experience in a public company is a plus.

  • Strong background knowledge in all aspects of general accounting internal controls and company policy.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources identify gaps decompose highlevel information into details and drive decisionmaking.

  • Working and management experiences in international environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $165000 $202000

This position is eligible to participate in an incentive and level of participation are determined annually.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
