The Mail Processor is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail operations within the organization. This includes sorting labeling and delivering mail accurately preparing certified and firstclass mail for dispatch and assisting with additional mailroom and administrative duties. The ideal candidate is reliable organized and capable of supporting mailroom functions independently and collaboratively.
Receive and sort incoming mail packages and deliveries
Ensure mail is properly labeled and distributed to the appropriate recipients
Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail including letters parcels and packages
Apply postage attach documentation and manage dispatch records
Review prep and send Certified and FirstClass Mail accurately and on schedule
Ensure all mail meets postal deadlines and documentation requirements
Regularly transport mail to the post office for timely delivery
Handle overflow tasks such as office supply management and equipment maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom area
Serve as backup for Facilities Manager in managing daily mailroom operations
Perform basic administrative tasks such as data entry recordkeeping and support tasks as assigned
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and meet timesensitive deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Familiarity with postal systems and procedures is a plus
Physical ability to lift carry and transport mail items regularly
Contract
