Position Description

Reporting to the Director STFX Online the Learning Innovation Coordinator is responsible for supporting professional development of faculty and teaching staff by enabling them to effectively use existing educational technology tools to improve learning. The Learning Innovation Coordinator will research and implement new learning technologies and lead knowledge mobilization efforts across campus. Work with various committees departments centres and offices around the university to help set policies and procedures that positively impact student learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and support the adoption of innovative teaching practices and educational technologies across the university.
• Assist faculty in utilizing the universitys learning management system (Kwe) and provide technical support for new tools.
• Design and deliver training sessions workshops and educational resources to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning.
• Collaborate with STFX Online to develop resources for a learning innovation hub and lead conversations on artificial intelligence in education.
• Review recommend and implement new educational technologies ensuring alignment with institutional goals and trends.
• Oversee and manage educational innovation projects using data to evaluate impact and inform continuous improvement.
• Participate in strategic leadership for STFX Online and contribute to setting growth and quality improvement priorities.
• Build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and advocate for progressive educational practices

Qualifications

• Masters Degree (Adult Education or related field)
• A background in education instructional design or educational technology with strong knowledge of learning theory and pedagogy.
• Experience with digital and online learning technologies including learning management systems (e.g. Kwe) and other educational tools.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with a collaborative and professional approach to working across departments and committees.
• Strong communication project management and problemsolving skills with the ability to design and deliver effective training sessions.
• Comfortable leading knowledge mobilization initiatives and contributing to institutional policy development related to learning and teaching.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings with creativity flexibility attention to detail and a studentcentered mindset.
• Experience in supporting faculty and staff in technology adoption and driving innovation in postsecondary education environments.
