The laboratory of Dr. Petrucelli is seeking a highly motivated Special Project Associate II to join our Neuroscience team. Expectations include carrying out lab procedures such as preparation/labeling of clinical tubes timedependent processing and catalog of human blood and cerebrospinal fluid retrieval of samples from offsite freezers. Other duties include extraction of DNA from whole blood and general lab organizational and housekeeping of supplies and reagents. The position provides a great opportunity to gain handson experience in basic laboratory and research techniques. Examples include but are not limited to cell culture PCR western blotting. microscopy and etc. This is a highimpact lab in which this position requires attention to detail motivation and an ability to be flexible with duties.
Our research lab focuses on investigating the cellular mechanisms that cause diseases characterized by abnormal protein aggregation such as Alzheimers disease frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). See additional information please contact Dr. Petrucelli at
