Job Description
The City of Tomball is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer. This position under general direction plans organizes and reviews City engineering activities; directs the capital improvement program; and reviews private development and construction programs. Performs a variety of professional level engineering functions and serves as the City Engineer. Coordinates activities with other divisions departments outside agencies and organizations; assists in establishing department goals objectives policies and procedures; and performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field.
- Five years of public works experience with 3 years of progressively more responsible civil engineering experience including 2 years of project management.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Texas
- Valid Texas Drivers License with driving record that meets City guidelines or ability to obtain within 30 days.
SALARY RANGE:
- Hiring range: $105664 $110947
- Salary range: $105664 $158475
Salary is dependent on qualifications and certifications.
