Landauer Medical Physics has an immediate opening for aBoardCertified or BoardEligible Diagnostic Medical Physicistbased inTexas.
This person will provide medical physics services including Radiation safety related services to various hospitals in the region.
The individual should be motivated quick to learn and an excellent teammate. The position requires excellent verbal and writtencommunication to interact with health care professionals daily.
Responsibilities:
Provide medical physics EPEs quality assurance testing and consulting services.
These tests will involve MRI CT Xray mammography fluoroscopy and ultrasound.
In addition some nuclear medicine consulting and licensing activities will be performed
Provide ACR MRI CT NM/PET US and mammography accreditation services.
Travel Requirements:
Travel by car or plane to various client locations is required within TX and OK. Travel times from the home can vary to customer locations.
Some overnight stays will be necessary averaging less than 30 of the time.
Qualifications:
Masters degree or equivalent or higher in medical physics health physics physics biomedical engineering or any equivalent from an accredited college
or university.
ABR Diagnostic Medical Physics or ABMP (Medical Health Physics) board certification
Solid foundation in radiation physics radiation biology electronics and other areas relevant to equipment quality assurance testing
Experience in any of the following areas of Imaging Physics practice: Health Physics Radiation Safety Services
Mammography MRI CT Nuclear Medicine (including gamma cameras and licensing) PET Radiological/Fluoroscopy Surveys and Ultrasound.
Must be eligible for registration in the state of Texas.
Eligible to serve as RSO for a medical radioactive materials license.
