Software Development Engineer II Amazon Personalization - Customer 360 and AI

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer II you will solve technical challenges related to largescale data integration realtime data access and privacypreserving personalization. Youll play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Design and develop highly scalable and reliable distributed services for realtime data access and integration across multiple Amazon platforms.
2. Implement sophisticated serverside filtering and querying capabilities to ensure efficient and relevant data retrieval.
3. Create standardized APIs and data models to enable seamless data sharing and utilization across diverse business units.
4. Develop and optimize systems for handling both offline and online data access including realtime event processing and batch data analysis.
5. Implement robust privacy controls and compliance measures to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence.
6. Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate advanced personalization capabilities into the platform.
7. Work on innovative solutions for standardizing product and offering identifiers across different Amazon services.
8. Contribute to the development of data feeds and reactor systems for realtime data enrichment and insight generation.

Customer 360 is an innovative initiative that aims to transform how Amazon understands and serves its customers. Were developing stateoftheart solutions to unify customer data and insights across multiple business units enabling more personalized and effective customer experiences.



3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
