Salary Range Commencing from $63554.40 (Grade 7 Step 1 plus 11.5 successful candidate will have access to step increases for the grade based on competency assessment and tenure within the position.

Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydneys Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46000 residents which is growing at 2.53 annually. Based on NSW Government projections the population will increase to over 80000 by 2036.
About the Role
Strathfield Council has a great opportunity for a Horticulturist to join our Open Space & Sportsfields team on a permanent fulltime basis.
The purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance areas around Strathfield Councils LGA and conduct horticulturist responsibilities including but not limited to pruning planting mulching spraying mowing and litter collection.
This role also assists in other areas of Park & Recreation maintenance programs as required. For more information about the duties and responsibilities for the role please refer to the Position Description attached below.
