THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Zalando fulfills more than a hundred million customer orders every year and volumes are increasing. Fulfillment Core within Zalando builds and operates systems that are at the core of Zalandos platform strategy and ensure timely efficient and correct delivery of every one of our customers 185 million orders every year.

As a Software Engineer focused on backend services in the Fulfillment Network Layout youll be developing important services that manage info about our layout capabilities and the dynamic aspects of the fulfillment network. In our team Tetris were building the Fulfillment Network Platform which aims to be a digital twin of the physical fulfillment network. This means itll deliver all the relevant fulfillment info through unified APIs and access patterns ensuring reliable data quality for all business processes in the fulfillment area.
Our Dortmund Tech Hub is located in the heart of North RhineWestphalia which is a diverse state with vibrant business centers bustling cities and peaceful natural landscapes. Oversee the whole product development process from discovery to adjusting focus as needed. Work closely with your teammates to tackle these complex challenges.

WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Youve got some experience with at least one JVM language and are keen to dive into Kotlin. If you know a framework like Spring Boot thats a bonus!
Youve got experience with databases and know your way around SQL.
You understand microservices eventdriven systems and how to design APIs.
You communicate well love collaborating and thrive in a diverse international team. Youve got a positive cando attitude and are all about teamwork.
Youre selfdriven proactive and always looking to improve.
