The Barowsky School of Business is seeking a parttime instructor to teach a course in the undergraduate Business Administration program during the fall of 2025. The class meets in person on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Dominican campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach a fourunit course at the undergraduate level
- Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
- Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
- Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
- Instructors are required to work with the School to complete assessments of the course for AACSB Assurance of Learning purposes
Course Description
- BUS33601 Finance & Economics of Sports 4 units; inperson on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM2:10 PM; 8/25/202512/12/2025 This course entails applying modern financial and economic principles to sports management. It will cover financial resource management economic impact analysis financing major sports events venue financing and the economic pillars underlying professional sports leagues.
Required Qualifications
- A Masters degree in Business Finance Economics or closely related fields with emphasis on Sports or Economics of Sports.
- Google Suite: Docs Gmail Calendar Drive Sheets and Slides
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Zoom
- Digital Camera
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Business Finance Economics or related fields with emphasis on Economics of Sports
- Teaching experience in Economics or Finance of Sports at the undergraduate or graduate level
