Description:
The Control Systems Engineer will be integral to a fastpaced development environment for HVACR type compressor equipment and systems. These systems are primarily applied in industrial / stationary applications. The job is an interesting hybrid of requirements definition programming and hardware development. Daily interactions range from customer senior management and laboratory technicians.
Required education experiences & skills:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Electrical Controls Engineering Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Chiller Control Design
- 34 years of experience as a Systems Engineer
- Up to 15 travel
As the Control Systems Engineer you will show a proficiency and/or an understanding of the following:
- Nyquist Plotting
- Gain/Phase Margin
- State Transition Matrix
- Controllability/Observability
- NonLinear Systems
Preferred education experiences & skills:
- Masters in Electrical Engineering
its desirable that the candidate will have either design or maintain experience in the following areas:
- HVACR and/or Chiller Systems
- Industrial Controls (Industrial Automation)
- Power Systems
- SCADA/HMI Systems
- Analog/Digital Electronics
- Electrical Machine Design
- Modeling in Matlab or Python
- Programing PLCs or FPGAs LabView or Python
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.

About our Location
The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leadingedge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.
