Job Description
As an Associate Corporate Counsel Product Development you will serve as a primary attorney for an Amazon Research & Development function and partner with your clients to develop market and distribute newtoworld products and services.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive enthusiastic about technology enjoy working hard and being challenged and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Lawyers at Amazon are trusted advisors to the business. Our work is intellectually challenging exciting and fastpaced. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily work.
Key job responsibilities
Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies;
Advising on regulatory issues and overseeing compliance;
Negotiating strategic agreements;
Providing input on business strategy;
Developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative businesscentric ways and helping build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly; and
Researching and analyzing complex legal questions of first impression formulation and implementation of compliance programs and administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships including the handling of prelitigation legal disputes and inquiries.
2 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
Inhouse experience supporting product development
Experience with FDA regulatory law
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
Ability to work both independently and as part of a crossfunctional team
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
