What does a Financial Services Technician Payee do

The FullTime Financial Services Technician Payee at the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board plays a pivotal role in our agencys revenueproducing system. This position demands accuracy and efficiency in the entry and accounting of services rendered to clients directly affecting the completeness of client accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of service data submitted and posted to accounts clarifying treatment rendered and assigning appropriate charges. Your timely work will provide crucial information for financial records and reports guiding top management and the Board of Directors in vital policy decisions impacting the agencys future.

Mastery of bookkeeping principles cash handling skills and knowledge of thirdparty insurers including Medicaid and Medicare is essential. You will communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounts while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with team members. What you need to be successful

To excel as a FullTime Financial Services Technician Payee at the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board candidates must possess a solid foundation in accounting and bookkeeping principles. A high school diploma is required along with at least one year of experience in an automated computerbased system. Ideally candidates should have some exposure to a public behavioral health care environment to understand the unique financial requirements involved.
