Assistant Director of Nursing Rumford Community Home

Location: Rumford Maine Employment Type: FullTime 40 hours/week)

As ADON youll assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of our Nursing Department ensuring compliance with Federal State and local regulations. Youll lead staff education initiatives drive infection control programs and uphold the highest standards of patient care. Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
  • Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider).
  • Knowledge of nursing medical practices and procedures as well as laws regulations and guidelines that pertain to longterm care.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work effectively with professional and nonprofessional personnel.

Your Role:

  • Supports nursing management in ensuring that resident care is of highest quality and withinregulatory guidelines care is prompt and courteous within CMHC service standards.
  • Utilizes advanced nursing expertise serving as a resource consultant role model and facilitator for staff.
  • Makes daily rounds of nursing units to observe quality of resident care.
  • Responsible to ensure staff compliance with mandatory inservice; assures documentation ofinservice education attendance.
  • Evaluates nursing practice and care delivery system and makes recommendationsfor change.
