Sociology Teacher Outstanding School Croydon
An Outstanding Ofstedrated secondary school in the London Borough of Croydon seeks a dedicated and insightful Sociology Teacher to join their successful Humanities/Social Sciences department. This is a fulltime permanent position primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school is committed to helping students critically engage with contemporary society.
Responsibilities:
The successful Sociology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking lessons that explore the complexities of social life covering a range of sociological topics theories and research methods. You will prepare students for success in Sociology examinations (GCSE and ALevel) fostering their ability to analyze social issues and evaluate different perspectives. This Sociology Teacher role requires a commitment to developing students research and communication skills.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Sociology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Sociology or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5 is essential. Strong subject knowledge a passion for sociology excellent communication skills and effective classroom management are required. We need an inspiring Sociology Teacher.
