Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services to students in schools in diverse locations in Somerset New Jersey. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing services to both Early Childhood and K12 Special Education Programs. The ideal candidate will have a current and active Occupational Therapy New Jersey License.

Requirements:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current active New Jersey State Board License in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting is preferred
Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements

Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy to students with disabilities (ages 321 in Early Childhood and K12 Special Education Programs as specified in each students IEP.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students motor sensory cognitive and functional performance levels.
Participate in IEP meetings diagnostic evaluations and staff consultations
Maintain accurate documentation including Medicaid billing and required service records
Provide consultation on assistive technology adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to promote student access and participation.
Collaborate with teachers parents and other school professionals to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
Offer training to teachers paraprofessionals and staff on fine motor skills sensory processing and other occupational therapy strategies
Participate in diagnostic evaluations staff meetings and IEP development
Offer homebased and outofdistrict services as required by student needs and IEP provisions.
Submit quarterly progress reports aligned with IEP goals and other required documentation in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned by administration.
