Requirements:
Master s Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited institution.
Active professional Florida licensure from the Department of Health Board of SpeechLanguage Pathology and Audiology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
Experience providing speechlanguage services to schoolaged children.
Successful Level 2 background screening per the Jessica Lunsford Act.
Ability to travel between school sites as required.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations in compliance with IDEA and District guidelines to identify students with speech and language needs.
Develop implement and monitor therapy plans aligned with student IEP goals.
Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings eligibility reviews and team planning sessions.
Maintain accurate documentation including IEPs progress notes reports & Medicaid billing logs (if applicable).
Collaborate with staff administrators & families to support student communication skills & educational access.
Utilize assistive and augmentative communication systems when appropriate.
Deliver services following best practices and District guidelines.
Ensure compliance with FERPA confidentiality requirements and the Jessica Lunsford Act.
Demonstrate advanced evaluation diagnostic and therapeutic expertise.
Maintain accurate organized and detailed clinical documentation and reports.
Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) technologies effectively (preferred).
Communicate and collaborate professionally with students families and multidisciplinary teams.
Adapt services to meet the diverse and evolving needs of the student population.
Perform other related duties as assigned by District personnel.
