Job Description

Adelphi is seeking licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to provide services within a school district in St. Lucie County Florida. The ideal candidate will support SpeechLanguage Pathologists (SLPs) by assisting with service delivery conducting therapy activities documenting student progress and collaborating with educational teams under SLP supervision.

Requirements:
Associate s or Bachelor s Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
Active SLPA license or registration with the Florida Department of Health Board of SpeechLanguage Pathology and Audiology.
Experience working with schoolaged children preferred.
Successful completion of Level 2 background screening (Jessica Lunsford Act).
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Ability to travel between assigned school sites as needed.

Responsibilities:
Provide speechlanguage therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP.
Implement documented IEP goals through therapy sessions and activities.
Collect and record accurate data regarding student progress and performance.
Assist with therapy material preparation and organization.
Collaborate with SLPs teachers administrators and families to enhance student communication skills.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and District policies.
Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) interventions if applicable.
Ensure services comply with District guidelines and recognized best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervising SLP and District personnel.
