Job Description

We are recruiting a talented and highly motivated candidate to join our Equity Team as an Associate Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team that manages global equity portfolios for clients. They will be responsible for carrying out fundamental and ESG company research to help generate investment ideas in addition to various operational activities to ensure the successful management of portfolios.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work within the equity teams structured investment process to help generate investment ideas for portfolios from a broad global stock universe.
  • Conduct bottomup and ESG equity research to identify opportunities across sectors and regions.
  • Ensure the investment ideas generated are suitable for different investment strategies and security universes.
  • Build and maintain quantitative Excel based tools to aid the investment decision making process and management of portfolios.
  • Assist with the effective management of client portfolios to ensure they are managed in line with their respective investment objectives guidelines and restrictions.
  • Perform related activities such as trade generation attribution and client report writing.

Qualifications :

  • A degree in Economics Finance or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Relevant finance industry experience and securities analysis would be an advantage.
  • Numerical and analytical with excellent attention to detail; competent in statistical and quantitative analysis.
  • Additional relevant qualifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications VBA and Bloomberg.
  • Experience in Python/Matlab and managing a code base under Git version control would be an advantage. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Selfmotivated well organised with an ability to multitask.
  • A passion for financial markets and a keen interest in companies.
