Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer in automation to join our Manufacturing Technology Development team. By joining our team you will work with skilled teams and individuals in our factories and developmentrelated support functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions for automated forklifts in Konecranes factories particularly in the field of intralogistics automation (Automated Guided Vehicle / Autonomous Mobile Robot in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers. This role is a great fit for a (junior) specialist with some professional experience capable of working independently and keen to develop their skills in a multicultural environment.
This is a fixedterm contract for one year with a possibility of extension to a permanent contract.

We aim to advance intralogistics automation in Konecranes factories around the world and this position offers an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of that effort. You will have the chance to assess existing automation solutions and drive their development to meet and exceed the needs of our production facilities. This role involves close collaboration with factory shop floor teams and development groups to ensure that their requirements are met with a strong emphasis on the successful implementation of new automation solutions. Working at Konecranes will enhance your skills through engaging projects and relevant training and it may also open up numerous internal career opportunities if you desire to grow within the company in the future.
The primary work location for this role is in Hmeenlinna where the project team meets in person once a week. You are also welcome to utilise the facilities in Hyvink or Espoo. As we approach the end of the year and enter the project implementation phase additional longer onsite visits to Hmeenlinna will be necessary.
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation solutions for production and logistics.
- Work on intralogistics automation project(s) involving AGVs / AMRs.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and automation solution suppliers to ensure project success.
- Support management of project timelines and deliverables.
- Document and report project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications :
What should you bring
- . in automation robotics or a similar field.
- 23 years of experience in production or logistics automation development projects.
- Experience with intralogistics automation (AGVs / AMRs).
- Systematic and goaloriented approach with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
- Working proficiency in English. Knowledge of Finnish is an advantage.
We are looking for a professional with previous industrial automation project experience attention to detail and motivation for the quality that is required in these kinds of projects. To be successful in this role you will also need to get along with different people and have a teamplayer mentality. We appreciate past project management experience but its not mandatory.
