Associate Systems Analyst - Connected Customer IS Connected and Intelligent Solutions

Exchanging data is increasingly critical to the logistics industry. In order for Expeditors to excel at managing the complex logistics needs of our clients we are required to provide critical information to support the movement of freight. 

Systems Analysts in the Connected Customer Group directly impact our ability to gain new business and to form lasting bonds with our clients by integrating with their supply chain to provide visibility to inventory in transit. 

Systems Analysts in the Connected Customer Group are responsible for understanding and mapping the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or other connectivity methods that will be exchanged between Expeditors clients and third parties. This consists of analyzing client EDI specifications analyzing business requirements describing how they will provide data understanding how that information will be used in the context of our business and proprietary systems collaborating with clients and third parties and distilling it into a mapping document used by developers to create the code that translates the data.  

This is a fastpaced collaborative and multifaceted position that requires you to be able to manage and drive multiple projects in multiple states. 

Successful Systems Analysts are strong in the following skill sets: business analysis project management technical acumen communication (both written and verbal) organization and team collaboration. 

This position is onsite and will reside in the greater Seattle WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of database structures data files and data relationships

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in transportation/logistics industry  
• EDI knowledge (X12 EDIFACT XML mapping testing) 
• BA/BS in Business Administration MIS or related degree  
• Experience with SQL 
• API knowledge

Additional Information :

Expected base salary:  $75000 to $90000
