Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the broader Canada Finance Team by managing and coordinating various aspects of financial reporting and taxation through detailoriented analysis regulatory and compliance reporting and knowledge of accounting systems and transactions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Consolidate financial information manage supporting schedules and record transactions related to the monthly financial close for various components of the general ledger
- Lead all aspects of reporting returns fillings and payments related to Canadian sales taxes
- Monitor and manage intercompany royalties charges balances and settlements
- Assist in the collection of financial information and liaison with the US based controllership tax and finance teams across various business units
- Lead preparation of quarterly management reporting and local financial statements
- Support the FP&A team in certain aspects of budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance or related field of study
- 3 years of accounting audit and/or tax experience preferably within public accounting
- CPA designation
- Expertise in Reporting GAAP Financial Analysis Accounting and related Financial processes.
- Proven ability to drive efficiency and streamline processes.
- Proficiency in modeling & analysis; above average Excel skills.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish trust quickly
