Were looking for a Senior Analyst to act as a critical bridge between our Product Analytics and Fincrime Analytics teams. As a key member of the NorthAm Squad youll play a critical role in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape and ensuring robust compliance for our US and Canada business as we expand into new markets.
Team Mission

You will join a team of analysts who will develop and own the reporting layer for compliance activities to give assurance to the Board and our regulators that we are effectively managing the risks we face.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform controls assurance by ensuring controls are correctly configured and targeted at the right customer populations preventing gaps that could threaten our license and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and optimize controls efficiency. Youll track and monitor key flow metrics (e.g. acceptance rates document verification conversion funnels) to ensure controls are effectively reducing risk while balancing growth and a smooth customer experience.
- Enable risk monitoring during product launches evaluating risk factors and data needs as we expand into new markets and ensuring data is accessible to our product compliance team.
- Scale our data infrastructure around risk to enable teams to break down risk metrics at different levels (entity product partner). Youll work closely with fincrime analytics to leverage their assets localize them and highlight trends.
- Partner with product engineering and product compliance to influence decisions with data around controls and risk in the North America region.
Qualifications :
A bit about you:
- You are able to spend a portion of your onboarding in the UK and travel there quarterly to collaborate with global teams. This is a must-have for the role.
- You have 3 years of experience analyzing data in a professional setting ideally within a financial services fintech or regulatory environment. Having at least 1 year working with product teams is a strong plus.
- You have strong knowledge of SQL and know how to write efficient queries to work with large complex datasets.
- You are familiar with BI tools like Looker or Superset and have experience building reports and dashboards to distribute actionable insights.
- You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical partners.
- Youre proactive with a can-do attitude able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of your work.
- You have a genuine passion for Wises mission and building world-class financial products.
Bonus Points:
- You have experience in the fincrime domain balancing risk and customer experience.
- You have experience with user-facing products and data.
- You have experience with modern data stack tools like dbt Airflow or GitHub.
- You understand the purpose of robust risk compliance and internal audit functions in financial institutions.
