The Role
As an Engineering Manager of the Access Account Foundation backend engineering team you will lead your team in making Cash App a trusted platform for our customers. Our teams mission is to build a reliable technical foundation and intuitive customerfacing features that ensure authentic customers can consistently access and switch between their accounts while safeguarding against unauthorized access and inauthentic actors.
Working with our product managers and designers youll be engaged in driving the teams vision and roadmap. The products that you build with your team will create significant impact at scale and will fundamentally change how customers manage their money.

You Will
- Partner closely with product design engineering operations and business leads to evolve your teams vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding your customers needs
- Build a worldclass team by hiring qualified candidates coaching engineers and shaping the team to scale with the needs of the business
- Lead and participate in critical technical design and product discussions with leaders across the organization
- Foster ownership inclusiveness accountability and urgency in the team
- Hold your teammatesand yourselfto high engineering standards through cultivating pragmatic engineering decisionmaking and leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar
You Have
- 12 years of software development or equivalent experience
- 3 years experience growing engineers
- A history of healthy collaboration with product managers engineers and other engineering managers on developing roadmaps and executing against them
- Strong selfmotivation to learn and grow
- Eagerness to share your own ideas and openness to those of others
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
