POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional nonpartisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Information Technology department is seeking a strategic collaborative and analytical individual for the regular fulltime position of Workday Product Solutions Manager.
Reporting to the Director Information Technology the Workday Product Solutions Manager (Manager) provides leadership and specialized senior expertise in the administration sustained operations and ongoing enhancements of the organizations Workday solutions and product lifecycle to ensure the Legislative Assembly is maximizing the benefits of its Workday investment. This includes supporting systems integrated with the Workday solution and business and functional processes leading and advising on finance payroll human resources (HR) and planning processes and oversight of internal controls relating to the safeguarding of the corporate assets.
As a change agent the Manager drives change towards a collaborative and consultative business partnership with executives management staff and client groups. The position works in partnership with the Workday functional owners in finance HR payroll and IT to deliver proactive insight and ensure the integrity of management practices reporting procedures policies training and support for the organization. This position articulates the business goals and vision of the Workday solution by making recommendations for decisions to the Workday Business Sponsors (governance committee) including maintaining and evolving the Workday roadmap. This requires planning and developing the appropriate processes and configurations to fully utilize the product from both a technical and business requirements perspective. This position oversees a team of solution analysts and advises on how to best configure the Workday solutions to achieve the corporate vision.
This position serves as the singular subject matter expert within the organization and maintains primary contact with the vendors and internal IT department for business functional technical infrastructure and integration support of the Workday solutions and supporting integrated systems that allow finance HR and payroll operations teams to perform their functions for the benefit of the organization.
