AWS is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to lead and expand our partnerships with one of the largest university systems in the country the SUNY System in New York. This role will focus on driving cloud adoption digital transformation initiatives across the system including their R1 universities state colleges and community colleges.
Key job responsibilities
The Strategic Account Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for providing business leadership and creative direction for this highly visible customer base. You will build and maintain relationships in key accounts develop and manage opportunities and lead a large team of extended resources. You will define an executive relationship strategy within the account including building a strong working relationship with the AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship executive business reviews and shaping gotomarket opportunities.

7 years of direct sales or business development in software cloud or SaaS markets selling to Clevel executives experience
10 years of business development partner development sales or alliances management experience
5 years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
Experience developing detailed go to market plans
Experience identifying developing negotiating and closing largescale technology deals
Experience in direct sales or business development in software cloud or SaaS markets selling to Clevel executives
Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customers business
Experience with New York or other state government contracting specifically New York State OGS Lot 3 and Lot 4 Contracts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
