Amazon Ads Marketing Technology (MarTech) team is seeking a Principal Product Manager Tech (PMT) to define advocate for and deliver the next generation of Amazon Ads marketing data infrastructure in order to scale content development and management. This leader will drive business case for a new marketing data lake and help shape a service oriented architecture (SOA) that activates and orchestrates data across the stack. In this role you will lead product strategy working with engineering and science leaders to define architecture and roadmap. You will also be a key contributor to development of functionality related to interconnected services and APIs that power realtime marketing experiences at scale. This is an opportunity to define foundational infrastructure from the ground up.

Key job responsibilities
* Develop the vision and multiyear roadmap for backend marketing infrastructure including the marketing data lake and integrated backend services.
* Champion best practices for data governance privacy and security
* Collaborate with PMs engineers and stakeholders across marketing science analytics and legal
* Define and deploy integration strategies across internal systems and third party MarTech/AdTech tools
* Translate business and marketing needs into clear technical requirements advocating for system modularity reusability and operational excellence
* Own the backlog to determine prioritization and make feature tradeoffs
* Define platform adoption strategy and success metrics
* Mentor other PMs in technical product best practices
10 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of end to end product delivery experience
Bachelors degree in computer science engineering analytics mathematics statistics IT or equivalent

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement
Some technical fluency in data architecture APIs and cloud
Technical experience such as backend platforms or infrastructure
Experience with AWS stack
Familiarity with marketing advertising and data use cases (e.g. attribution segmentation personalization)
Understanding of serviceoriented architecture and distributed systems
Ability to build and pitch business case drive alignment and lead platform investment
Passionate about building effective systems and delighting customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
