OASE Director
High level emotional intelligence
Active in team dynamics conflict prevention/resolution and identifying customer needs
Cheerful attitude and servant leadership disposition
Dedicated customer service and people oriented
Adaptability in a fastpaced environment with ability to learn and develop hard and soft skills
Ability to interact with men and women of all ages and maturity levels of staff/customers
Lead groups of participants through the OASE program
Support groups in the field when you are not assigned to a crew.
Instruct participants on proper and safe trail building
Monitor the general health and safety of the participants
Work with OASE and Summit leadership to address any issues that might arise
Comfortable in remote setting for extended periods
Maintain a clean organized inspected neat and safe work area
Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
21 years of age or older
Member of the Order of the Arrow
Must have or be able to obtain Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Certifications
Preferred: Trail building experience
Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
Completes contract period with 24 positive experiences
Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
Contribute at least one improvement to the OASE program
Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
Up to 9 hours a day of either standing walking hiking and the ability to lift 70 lbs.
Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements HERE
