Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is Wisconsins largest and most diverse technical college offering 170 highquality programs that connect students to a career in as little as one to two years. - Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teachingrelated activities.
- Manage the classroom/laboratory.
- Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
- Manage equipment supplies and materials.
- Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with the advisory committee in the program area.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Promote the education/training program participate in efforts to recruit and retain students and participate in efforts to market MATC.
- Support student organizations and activities.
- Develop relationships with business and industry.
- Complete program evaluation and followup.
- Maintain certification continue professional development and stay current in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Only those who meet ALL of the base minimum requirements listed below will be considered.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Must have at least ONE of the following:- Must have a masters degree or higher in Psychology;OR
- Masters degree and 18 credits in coursework that is from the Psychology Department from the granting Institution or an Applied Psychology Department.*
Minimum Occupational Experience Requirement:- Must have one full semester (or two quarters) of teaching at the college level that includes graduate school teaching assistantship.
Preferred Qualifications in ADDITION to the required minimums listed above:- Verifiable occupational work experience in a field other than education.
- Experience in teaching and/or developing curriculum in a variety of classroom environments including inperson and online.
- Must be able to develop and maintain curriculum currency.
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency

- Online Information Management Systems e.g. Self Service or other online information management systems used for student advising student programs grading class schedules and rosters
- Blackboard Ultra Experience with Blackboard Ultra or other webbased course management systems
- Technologybased Instruction Experience with technologybased instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium interactive touch screen monitors LCD projectors DVD players and/or other classroom technology
- Emerging Technologies Experience with social networking applications)
Supplemental Information
Start Date: Currently hiring one fulltime Psychology Instructors to support theGeneral Education Pathway.Position start date is August 2025.
Hours: This position is a 1.0 FTE; 32 weekly hours. Hours location and modality are based on enrollment and departmental need. Employees will conduct all work hours in theState of Wisconsin performing work outside the state is strictly prohibited
Salary: Salary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2024/2025 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.
