The Office of Fiscal Services is seeking to hire a wellorganized energetic and detailoriented manager to join our team in the Bureau of Collections to serve as the Central Overpayment Unit Manager. This position will analyze and evaluate unit activities for establishment of overpayment claims initiate recommendations to management regarding improved methods and techniques for processing claims and accurately determine claim amounts in offices throughout the State. Serves as the Central Overpayment Unit Manager.
Directs operations of the Account Support and Central C Code Unit.
Serves as fullline supervisor.
Develops plans organizes and implements projects to increase quality and quantity of overpayment claims established by field consultants and to resolve problems of automatically established claims.
Reviews Federal regulations and State statutes.
Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships among Units and Local Offices Attorney Generals and States Attorney offices.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four 4 years college with course work in business or public administration.
Requires three 3 years progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
Four 4 years of professional experience utilizing the rules and regulations of collection activity within a public or private organization.
Three 3 years of professional experience working with federal and state statutes rules and regulations governing designated public assistance programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education SNAP Outreach Temporary Assistant for Needy Families (TANF) and Aid to the Aged Blind and Disabled (AABD).
Four 4 years of professional experience communicating in oral and written form with internal and external stakeholders ensuring detailed and critical analysis of work performed.
Two 2 years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multitasking multiple projects.
Two 2 years of professional experience interpreting departmental policies and procedures that affect the collection of debt owed within a private or public organization.
Two 2 years of professional supervisory experience assigning work providing guidance to subordinates recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements training staff approving time off and preparing and signing performance evaluations.
